WadWijzer connects accommodation providers, local businesses, villages and organisations across the Wadden region. From one multilingual digital guide, guests find information about their stay as well as local shops, hospitality, activities, routes, nature, heritage and facilities.

We map the local area, publish relevant information and manage it centrally. Accommodation providers and businesses therefore do not need to build and maintain their own tourism platform, translations or digital leaflets.

For accommodation providers

After receiving the accommodation’s own stay information, we set up one digital reception and local guide for the campsite, B&B, marina, motorhome site or other accommodation provider.

WadWijzer inventories and checks the local offer, publishes relevant businesses and facilities and manages the shared information centrally.

fewer recurring guest questions and information available outside reception hours;
one web address and QR code to share before and during the stay.

The accommodation provider receives a complete digital reception and local guide, while daily involvement is limited to sharing the link or QR code.

For local businesses

Your business receives a visitor profile with a description, location, directions, contact details, opening hours, images and practical information.

WadWijzer focuses on guests who are actually staying in the area. This makes your business visible at a relevant moment, when a guest is looking for food, shops, regional products, activities or practical services.

WadWijzer reuses existing information wherever possible and provides the practical local layer at the place where guests stay and make decisions.

How joining works

Joining takes place in five clear steps:

1. We discuss the accommodation, business or regional partnership.
2. You provide the available accommodation or business information, images and leaflets.
3. WadWijzer sets up the profile and local area and makes the information available in Dutch, German and English.
4. You review the result before it is published.
5. The accommodation provider shares the link or QR code with guests.

During the pilot, we coordinate participation personally. You provide the basic information, review the result and share your experience. WadWijzer handles setup, translations and central management.
