Museum about the history and development of fishing in Zoutkamp, housed in a former buoyage depot.
The Visserijmuseum beside the old inner harbour tells the story of Zoutkamp as a fishing village. It occupies Rijkswaterstaat's former listed buoyage depot and covers the history, work and development of the local fishing industry. In the courtyard, Siegerlida’s Hoeske reconstructs a Zoutkamp fisherman's cottage with an interior from around 1900. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, guided tours and activities.
